The Tejon Ranch Trail Half Marathon and 10k were founded with the belief that runners should have the opportunity to explore one of the great land conservations in the west. The event pays homage to the great untamed west that California was founded upon while respecting the incredible and rich biodiversity the land offers. Home to California Condors, Black bears, mountain lions, and pronghorns that roam rolling hillsides carpeted in wildflowers and Oak Trees that splash shade over vast swaths of land, Tejon Ranch is truly a surreal experience for any runner to share in. When the run is over, food, drinks, and friendships will be the main attraction under the beautiful surrounding of the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center. Come join us and share in the beauty of Tejon Ranch.
The Tejon Ranch Trail Half Marathon and 10k are CUPLESS COURSES! For hydration, we will be offering participants the option to purchase a $5 Hydrapak reusable soft-cup or provide your own hydration system. Thank you for helping us reduce the footprint!

The Half Marathon shares a start with the 10k near Crane Canyon. Upon leaving the equestrian center, the course follows Crane Canyon around Castac Lake where runners will find multiple gentle hills on this dirt path. Five kilometers into the race, the 10k runners u-turn and head back to the finish. From here, the half marathon continues onwards until it runs into a paved road a half mile later. Enjoy the flat mile on the paved road because what follows is nearly 500’ of elevation gain in under a mile. Over the next four miles the course greets runners with incredible vistas and descends over 800’ back down the canyon. The final three miles is relatively flat compared to the rest of the days endeavours and returns runners back to the equestrian center where the after party awaits.
Sharing a start line with the half marathon, the 10k leaves the equestrian center and heads out onto the gently rolling dirt hills of Crane Canyon. The route continues around Castac Lake, passing an aid station around 2 miles before turning around 5 kilometers in. The course returns the same way it came and once again passes the aid station around mile 4. Finally the course nears the equestrian center and the race may be over, but the after party is just beginning.
