Welcome to the NEW Avalon 50/50 Benefit Run on Catalina Island. Whether you choose to conquer the entire island in our traditional 50 Mile Run, or start off with our new “Introductory” Avalon 50K Benefit Run (31 miles), we welcome you to Catalina Island. This race weekend is renowed as one of the country’s most challenging and scenic runs. No cars, no smog, just great terrain, incredible views, fascinating historical sites, a well-organized race, nice people and great food await you.

We strive to provide you with an extraordinary running experience that you will not forget. Get hooked on Catalina and return for all of our RunCatalina events as you navigate through the Catalina Interior which features untouched landscapes, Bald Eagles, Catalina Island Fox, and the occasional buffalo sighting. We would like to remind you that this is a BENEFIT Run and that the pledges you collect and can donate to the Avalon Lions Club will help significantly with the charities on the island including eye sight check-ups; scholarships for graduating seniors; Catalina Island Conservancy; among other local organizations. We need your help – please do your part to ensure the continuation of this great running tradition.

Come on over to Catalina, you will not regret placing this run on your annual calendar. Please make sure to read over our web-site closely for specifics that you will need on race day and to properly prepare for this incredible journey.

Sincerely,

Mike Bone – Spectrum Sports Management, Inc.
John Regalado – Avalon Lion’s Club
